At the Council Meeting held on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 By-Law Number 13-01-590 was passed adopting new water and sewer rates for the residents of Cobden, Beachburg and Haley Townsite for the 2013 year. These rates reflect the forecasted water and sewer rates developed by Watson and Associates as part of the 2012 water rate study.
These water rates continue to be based on shared operating costs with capital costs separated by area. Cobden, Beachburg and Haley Townsite each have different water rates and Cobden sewer has its own separate rate.

Cobden’s
Taste of the Valley is now accepting food vendor applications for our event on
Oct. 18th at the Cobden Fair Grounds. We’re trying to expand our
variety of foods this year to include more ethnic flavours – last year our samosa
vendor sold out!
