On August 20, 2014 the newly rebuilt Scenic Lookout at Wright’s Lookout Park on Lookout Rd. was re-dedicated by the Township and the Wright Family during a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Lookout was originally constructed in 1958. The new design, while mirroring the original structure, aims to minimize the maintenance requirements for future years while continuing to provide public access to the panoramic view so deeply appreciated by J.C. Wright, former Reeve of Westmeath Township. The Township of Whitewater Region funded the $10,695 cost to rebuild the structure to current standards for future generations to enjoy.
