A Message From the Mayor of the Township of Whitewater Region

On behalf of the Council of the Township of Whitewater Region, I would like to welcome you and invite you to stay and visit a while.

Whether you are interested in business or pleasure, you can find what you need in Whitewater Region......

High-speed internet is available in much of the township for fast communication with the outside world while you enjoy the friendly atmosphere and beautiful countryside that we offer.  While you are here you can hike, ski or snowmobile on our trails; swim, fish or boat in our rivers and lakes; go rafting or kayaking in the rapids on the Ottawa River; golf on our championship course; play hockey or skate in one of our three covered arenas (or one of our open air rinks for the brave souls among you); read a book in one of our libraries; shop in our gift shops and other stores or explore our history in our museum.

We invite you to establish your home or business here.  Our township has a rich agricultural heritage, but welcomes and encourages new development.  Serviced land is available for housing and industry; schools and medical facilities are located here and in nearby larger centres.

We encourage you to use this website to help you explore our township.  On it you can find profiles of our communities, and council information including meetings, minutes and by-laws. Contact our friendly and knowledgeable staff or your local council member for help with your concerns.  List your community event for a little added advertisement.  We invite you to take advantage of everything we have to offer.
